A Journey back to the Stone Age

An unusual journey back to the Stone Age

One sunny afternoon Year 3 pupils were lucky enough to take part in a 'Step back in time' to the Stone Age.
Mrs Moody and Mr Rylands showing us what people ate in the Stone Age and also how they built their houses.

Stone Age people used sticks and animal skins to build their shelters.

In Stone Age times the main food was fish, lettuce, ivy and weeds.

Mr Rylands showed us how they prepared their fish using flint to cut it.

We compared life in the Stone Age with our life in Southampton today.
It  was a great experience for all of us. We enjoyed having the opportunity to go back in time and  see how people use to live in the Stone Age.
